The good news is you don’t need to be able to do unlimited pull ups to ice climb. With proper technique novices are comfortably able to climb on their first day out.

No problem. We can provide all the necessary technical climbing equipment. Here at Insight Adventure Guides we pride ourselves in offering the the most up to date climbing equipment. We believe this enhances the climbing experience and provides you with the opportunity to learn with the best technology available.

You will need to provide all of you own personal clothing, outerwear, food and other personal items. Please see the link below for a full outing gear list.

The standard day of climbing is 8 hours from the time you meet your guide.
An extended day up to 12 hours can be provided as part of a custom trip. Please contact us directly to discuss this option 570-971-4571.

Rates for our guided ice climbing experiences are as follows:
One Person=$350/day
Two People=$250/person or $500/day
Three People=$200/person or $600/day
Four People=$175/person or $700/day
**Extended days can arranged for an additional fee
**Payment in full is required at the time of booking

We can accommodate groups of up to four people.
Our booking portal allows for groups of up to two to book online.
For groups larger than two please contact us directly at 570-971-4571 to discuss some necessary logistical items in order to accommodate groups of up to four.

Cancellation made within zero to three days of the trip will receive no refund and no rescheduling will be allowed. There will be no exceptions.
Cancellations made between 4 and 14 days of the trip can reschedule if dates are available or a credit will be issued for use on a future booking
Cancellations made 15 days or earlier prior to the trip will receive a full refund less a 5% cancellation fee.
**All cancellation requests are to be made in writing via email.

Ice climbing is a very weather dependent activity and ice that is climbable one day may not be safe to climb the next day.
Any weather or ice condition related cancellations are at the sole discretion of Insight Adventure Guides.
Should Insight Adventure guides cancel due to weather or ice conditions the trip will either be rescheduled or the cost of the trip refunded in full.

All our climbs take place in the Adirondacks near Keene Valley and Lake Placid, New York. The Route 73 corridor is one of the premier ice climbing destinations in the U.S. offering a wide variety of climbs, ease of access, and a consistent ice climbing season.

Insight Adventure Guides does not have a physical shop. A few days prior to the trip your guide will reach out to you and provide the meeting location for the day. The location will depend on current ice conditions and your goals for the day. Typically the location will be somewhere along Route 73 corridor near Keene Valley or Lake Placid, New York.
